Being on-set for one of our photo shoots is one of the best parts of my job, mainly because—wait for it—the catering is always delish--and totally unexpected. Celebrities often provide what’s called a “rider”—a list of special requests that can include everything from green M&Ms to scented candles. Before stepping foot on our January cover shoot set, I thought that maybe Britney would have a long rider list, full of Cheetos, Red Bulls, Frappuccinos and other guilty-pleasure favorites. But, as it turns out, Britney didn’t even have a rider—in fact, she didn’t ask for anything at all--which makes her one of the most low-maintenance superstars (sounds like an oxymoron, no?) I’ve ever met.
Now, thanks to this exclusive video (from the same production team who shot the Britney documentary that was on MTV last night) you can get a glimpse of our cover girl in action at Glamour’s shoot—primping, posing and, of course, performing some impromptu dance moves—along with photographer Patrick Demarchelier, makeup artist Pati Dubroff and hair guru Chris McMillan. (Sadly, there aren't any shots of the awesome catering offerings that I'm obsessed with.) Britney summed up our shoot in one word: “Classic!” (And, after checking out the video I think you’ll agree.)
